GDKP raiding has various forms, and arrives with various sets of rules. I'm trying to describe probably the most common one. A GDKP raid is held with a guild. Around 50-75% for the people are from the guild, the rest for the players are guests. The majority for the guildies assure completing the dungeon. At the start for the dungeon every player offers a small amount of gold (usually 1-2k) towards the raid head which (s)he will get back again at the finish for the raid. This is for filtering out the quitters. You're not most likely to leave the raid if you have 1-2k while in the pot.
Loots are "auctioned" for. Auctioning has about a million numerous forms, both in IRL and while in the game, but typically it may be an open bidding-war style auction. following the winner is determined, (s)he buys the loot for your amount (s)he won the auction for. This revenue goes towards the raid head as well.This goes on for every loot of every boss. through the finish for the raid, the raid head could have a large amount of gold (hundreds of a large number of golds), which (s)he splits evenly among the players (this assures that everybody gets back again their 1-2k).
The amount of revenue the head could have to split is dependent greatly on what loots drop, and how a whole lot revenue will be the players are prepared to spend on them. Usually, a GDKP raid, if you don't purchase anything means at least 5k gold, the key term becoming "at least". I've observed of loots going for 60k in auction (not a whole lot following new content came out).
While the temptation may be beneficial to start this right away, and never purchase a loot to maximize the profit, obtaining invited back again is dependent on spending revenue occasionally. It may be easier to acquire in if you are while in the guild, or incredibly close towards the members, but in most situations GDKP raiding is a game of high stakes for your "high rollers". The profitability for the raid demand the players spending too, and everybody understands it, so this won't be your magic fortune-maker, however it is a superb opportunity to products your character, and gain some golds too, if you are auctioning cleaverly (or you have lower competition then other people on your loots, for example by becoming the only rouge within your guild).
